Awards

In recognition of the impact our work has on our community, LAWC has often been nominated and won several local awards. Recently this has included:

Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce SME Bedfordshire Business Awards

Finalist in the ‘Not-for-profit Business of the Year’ category (2024)

Luton's Best Awards

Winner in the ‘Keeping Luton Safe’ category (2020 and 2023)

BBC Three Counties Radio Make a Difference Awards

Winner of ‘Best Community Group’ (2022) 

AQS Accreditation

LAWC holds the Advice Quality Standard (AQS). This means we have met certain criteria     that demonstrates our commitment to professionalism, quality and customer care.

Having this accreditation allows our clients to feel confident in the knowledge that they are benefitting from a quality assured service.


BACP membership

LAWC is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) - a well-recognised and valued quality status for practitioners, services and training courses.

This means we are committed to working to the highest standards of proficiency and in accordance with the BACP ethical framework.

    Luton All Women’s Centre (LAWC) has been supporting women and girls living in Luton and Bedfordshire since the early 1990s. Offering a wide-range of advisory, information, practical and holistic support services, our aim is to challenge gender inequality and empower women and girls to enjoy lives that are safer, healthier and fairer.

Counselling provides the opportunity to talk with someone about how you’re feeling in a wholly supportive, confidential and non-judgemental environment. At Luton All Women’s Centre, professional counselling is an ongoing and vital part of the holistic support we offer to our clients.
