  1. Support our work

Donate goods

Luton All Women’s Centre can accept selected donated goods which are passed on to the vulnerable women we support in Luton. Most have been affected by violence/ abuse against them and are facing some of the most difficult times in their lives. Please help us with this if you can.

Here is a list of the items we need the most:

  • Books, CDs and DVDs that are appropriate for either adults or children, and that are in good condition (new or second hand).
  • Food – tinned and dried food that is well within its sell by date, e.g. soup, breakfast cereals, pasta, rice, tinned vegetables and beans, tea, coffee, etc.
  • Sanitary wear – particularly pads
  • Tooth brushes and toothpaste
  • Toiletries – deodorant, shampoo, soap, shower gel
  • Hairbrushes
  • Washing up liquid

Please note these are the ONLY items we can accept and, unless otherwise stated, goods must be NEW (not pre-used).

Next steps

Please contact us before coming along with your donated goods so we can be ready to take them in when you arrive. Call us on 01582 416783 or email [email protected]

Could you collect and deliver goods to us?

Many of us have several of these items sitting in cupboards or on shelves at home but find it’s a bit of an effort to get them into the hands of charities that need them.

We’re looking for volunteers who can make that task easier.

So, if you have some spare time and would like to help us, organising a collection of donated goods is a great way to get involved. You might ask a group of friends, neighbours, a social/ community group you’re part of or work colleagues. However you want to go about collecting, please make sure to only gather the items on the list above and then, when it’s convenient for you, just deliver them to us at our premises in central Luton.*

You can do this as little or as often as you choose. We’ll always be grateful for your help and you can be happy knowing you’re making a big difference to local women.

*Volunteers must be willing to use their own means of transport for this role and have adequate insurance.

Next steps

If you have organised a collection and are ready to bring this in to us, please get in touch before coming along, just so that we’re ready and waiting to take the donations in when you arrive.

To do this, or find out more about this and other volunteering opportunities at LAWC, call us on 01582 416783 or email [email protected]
