Room hire

If you’re looking for a place to run an event, meeting, training session, community group, workshop or 1-1 activities (such as counselling), Luton All Women’s Centre at The Spires has a range of rooms available to hire.

Conveniently located in Luton Town Centre, The Spires is easy to get to with ample nearby parking facilities. Find us HERE.

All proceeds from room hire go towards the work we undertake at our centre to support women from the local community.

Capacity and costs

Our rooms can accommodate anything from 3 to 60 people. Room hire is offered at a highly competitive rates, with discounts applied to organisations that are registered charities or not-for-profit.

Please note that due to our centre being a safe space for women, these rooms are only available for hire by all-female groups. If you require a mixed gender space, please look at our ground floor options below.*

* LAWC retains the right to not accept bookings from organisations or individuals where there is felt to be a conflict of interest or where the values or approach to the work are not compatible with those of LAWC.

Refreshments

Tea/ Coffee and biscuits are provided with all room bookings.

We do not have any on-site catering facilities. External catering can be organised on your behalf, the cost of which will be confirmed per booking and is subject to your requirements.

Equipment hire

Additional equipment is chargeable as follows:

  • Flip chart and stand, pens and paper - £2.50 per hour or £10 per day
  • Projector - £5 per hour or £30 per day (please note, to connect to a projector you will need to bring your own laptop)

Terms and Conditions

When a room is booked at The Spires, LAWC agrees to:

  • Ensure that the room is prepared and ready for use at the beginning of the hire time.
  • Ensure a member of the LAWC team is available to provide access to the building and deal with any queries that ay occur throughout the hire period.

When a room is booked at The Spires, the Hirer agrees to:

  • Abide by all relevant fire and health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Be mindful and respectful of the fact that LAWC clients may be in the building during the time of room hire.
  • Leave the room in the condition in which it was found.
  • Give 14 days’ notice to cancel any booking. If a booking is cancelled without 14 days’ notice or in the case of a ‘no show’ the hirer will be liable to pay the full booking cost.

Payment:

  • LAWC will normally invoice for room hire within 1 month of the room hire date. Invoices must be paid within 14 days.
  • No room hire bookings will be taken where a hirer has an outstanding invoice.
